This is not a fluke month either, as jobs in medical related fields have increased by 559,000 since the start of the recession. The demand for professionals to provide health care services is forecast-ed to continue as more are more people are taking advantage these services. Not only is the demand increasing but careers such as nurses, pharmacists, physicians, radiological techs, therapists, medical laboratory technicians, medical records technologists, medical billing coders, etc are showing major shortages. Nurses alone are estimated to have over 116,000 positions unoccupied in hospitals around the country.Going after a new career can be very intimidating especially if you have a family to support with your income. Retooling though could be the best course of action for you and your family. By putting yourself into an in demand career field you will be giving yourself something that many do not have right now and that is job security. In a lot of cases you will not even require a huge about of training to go from what you are currently doing to something related in the medical field. To get an idea of many of the different health care jobs search around and get an idea of all the different positions that you would be interested in. Health care is a great sector to be in now and for the foreseeable future so if you are considering a new career or looking into the viability of getting a specific medical related job you are making a great choice.
